You can tour and apply at The Anthem without paying a broker. The leasing office is in the building at 222 East 34th Street. The public listings are on this site. The phone is (212) 684-3222. That is the whole path.

What "direct" means here

Direct means you are dealing with the building's leasing operation, not a third party who needs a commission to show you the door. New York's FAIR Act already changed how broker fees work in this city. You still do not need a broker to walk a residence at The Anthem. If someone offers to "get you in," ask whether they are adding a fee the building is not charging.

Bring your own questions. The office can confirm available dates, which line you are standing in, and how to apply. It cannot invent a rent for a unit marked rented, and it should not have to decode a flyer that used the wrong residence number.

What you still do yourself

You still read the floor plan. You still walk the unit whose number will be on the lease. You still decide whether a future vacancy matches your date. Direct leasing is not a shortcut around due diligence. It is a shorter chain of people between you and the keys.

Application documents, the fee cap under Real Property Law 238-a, and the deposit rules are the same legal landscape as any other Manhattan rental. Direct does not mean informal.

How to start

Filter listings, pick a line and a date, then schedule a tour at the building. If you already know the residence number, say it on the call. Call (212) 684-3222.

The Neighborhood

Murray Hill, Manhattan

Nestled between Midtown and Gramercy, Murray Hill is one of Manhattan's most enviably located neighborhoods — a residential sanctuary steps from the city's greatest landmarks, transportation hubs, and cultural institutions.

Positioned at the center of it all, residents of The Anthem enjoy unparalleled access to Grand Central Terminal (10 minutes on foot), the Empire State Building (visible from nearly every window), and the waterfront promenade along the East River. The neighborhood's tree-lined streets and boutique dining scene provide a calm contrast to the energy of Midtown just blocks away.

Murray Hill's central latitude makes every corner of New York City accessible in minutes — Downtown, Uptown, Brooklyn, Queens, and New Jersey are all within easy reach via subway, bus, and ferry.
