November and December will fill the package room. The Anthem has a 24-hour front desk and a ground-floor mailroom. Amazon is a confirmed goods partner. None of that creates extra cubic feet in December. If you order like you live in a house with a porch, you will live in a hallway of boxes.

How to not drown the desk
Spread deliveries. Combine orders. Do not send five perishable gift baskets to a package room that is not a refrigerator. If something needs a signature and you will be away, use the carrier's hold options or send it to a workplace.
Pick up what has arrived. A package room is not storage. The longer a box sits, the more it is in the way of someone else's medication and your neighbor's shoes. Ask the concierge how long they will hold something rather than guessing from another building.
Traveling in December
File a USPS hold for mail if you will be gone. Tell the desk you will be away so they are not calling you about a wet box. Do not have a guest collect your packages unless the building has a way to release them to that person. A friend arguing at the desk on Christmas Eve is not a plan.
Large furniture is not a holiday exception. CORT is the confirmed furniture partner if you need pieces delivered the way the building already knows. A surprise sectional in the lobby still needs an elevator reservation.
The rest of the year is practice
If the package flow already bothers you in October, December will not be gentler. Tour with the mailroom in mind. Filter listings or schedule a tour. Call (212) 684-3222.
