Bath count is the field people skip and then regret. One bath is not one and a half. A windowed bath is not a second bath. The floor plan is the source. The listing is a summary. If they disagree, the plan wins, and you should ask before you tour.

Full, half, and powder

A full bath has a toilet, a sink, and a tub or shower. A half bath is a toilet and sink. Listings sometimes write 1.5. That extra half is useful in a one-bedroom if two people leave for work at the same time. It is not a place to bathe a child. Do not pay a one-bedroom premium in your head for a powder room you misread as two full baths.

Some Anthem floor plans note a windowed bath or a marble bath. That is a finish and a light source, not an extra room. An interior bath can be fine. It cannot pretend it has a window.

Match the count to the people

A studio with one bath is normal. A two-bedroom with one bath is a morning fight. A two-bedroom with two baths is a different product. Line 04 becomes a two-bedroom only at floor 18. Confirm the bath count on that plan rather than borrowing the studio's one bath in your memory.

If a roommate is moving in, count baths before you count square feet. Sharing a toilet is how roommate listings die in month two.

Check it on the tour

Run the water. Note whether there is a tub, a stall, or both. Photograph the bath so you do not mix units later. Filter listings by the plan you actually want, then tour that residence. Call (212) 684-3222.

The Neighborhood

Murray Hill, Manhattan

Nestled between Midtown and Gramercy, Murray Hill is one of Manhattan's most enviably located neighborhoods — a residential sanctuary steps from the city's greatest landmarks, transportation hubs, and cultural institutions.

Positioned at the center of it all, residents of The Anthem enjoy unparalleled access to Grand Central Terminal (10 minutes on foot), the Empire State Building (visible from nearly every window), and the waterfront promenade along the East River. The neighborhood's tree-lined streets and boutique dining scene provide a calm contrast to the energy of Midtown just blocks away.

Murray Hill's central latitude makes every corner of New York City accessible in minutes — Downtown, Uptown, Brooklyn, Queens, and New Jersey are all within easy reach via subway, bus, and ferry.
